BI would like to welcome you and wanted you know I am sorry I haven’t added to the blog for a while. I have had several health issues, so I have been waiting until I felt strong enough to write. I am Praising God because He has been faithful and helped me to gain some strength and motivation!
Regardless of what we go through while on this journey with the Lord, we can rest assured that Jesus knows exactly what is going on with us. We can feel certain that as we spend time reading God’s Word and praying , He is always listening to you.
With all of the chaos that is swirling around us right now, it’s easy to become discouraged. We all need someone to lean on, to comfort us, and to share our problems with. I am sure when Jesus walked on this earth that He faced times when He needed encouragment.
Mark 1:35 NLT
“ Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.”
If Jesus needed to spend time with His Heavenly Father, then how much more do we need to spend time communicating with our Heavenly Father and reading His Word?
When we place our trust in the Lord, we can lean on the strong arms of our Savior. When we focus on our problems instead of focusing on Jesus, we will feel depressed, and hopeless.
Psalms 121: 1-8 NIV
” I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you-the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more.”
David found comfort in relying on God, and when we allow God to become part of our lives, then He will strengthen our mind, emotions and our will to keep on going !

There’s a lot we don’t know and all we need to do is just talk to Him from our hearts. He knows our thoughts anyway , so it’s easier to open the secret places of our hearts and surrender them to Him. It is worth it because you will find peace and joy as you spend time with Him !

As I look at the world today, so many people are searching for peace in different ways, but there is no real peace besides the Prince of Peace. Thoughts for today – As we allow Jesus to guide us, He teaches us so much about how we should act. He does this in such a gentle way, He never yells at us when we make mistakes, He is humble and gentle toward us. As we spend time with Him, we will learn many of His ways, and then it is easier to give up some of our ways that are negative. Humility means considering others as more important than ourselves. Humility can also mean complete dependence on God!

Thoughts for today – It is true we can’t control the behavior of others, we are responsible for our own behavior and responses, including the extension of forgiveness. God calls us to forgive others as we have been forgiven. When we have resentment toward others, it can have a harmful effect on our body. Negative thoughts and emotions bring about negative reactions within us. God can give us the courage to do the right thing and forgive others. He knows all about that subject!

Thoughts for today – Jesus was in the wilderness and satan tried to tempt Jesus. But Jesus did not give in, in fact it’s interesting the way He fights back. Jesus fought back with the words and power of Scripture. Every time He was tempted, he came back with the truth of Scripture that applied to that situation. Jesus knew Scripture, He believed Scripture, and He used the power of Scripture to fight the battles that came His way. This shows me that using Scripture when we are fighting temptations is the most powerful way to do it!

Thoughts for today – Through Jesus Christ, wee have been restored to God. John 3:16 says ” For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”. Even though we turned our hearts against Him, He never abandoned us. He never stopped loving us. Instead, He put a plan into place that we restore us back to Him. In order to receive this love that will never weaken, fade, or diminish, we simply receive Him into our life as our Savior and Lord by faith. He did all the work to restore us to God. This love is not based on anything we can do. It is based on His unconditional love for us. He will always love us! Be still for a few minutes and savor the love that God has for you!
