BI would like to welcome you and wanted you know I am sorry I haven’t added to the blog for a while. I have had several health issues, so I have been waiting until I felt strong enough to write. I am Praising God because He has been faithful and helped me to gain some strength and motivation!

Regardless of what we go through while on this journey with the Lord, we can rest assured that Jesus knows exactly what is going on with us. We can feel certain that as we spend time reading God’s Word and praying , He is always listening to you.

With all of the chaos that is swirling around us right now, it’s easy to become discouraged. We all need someone to lean on, to comfort us, and to share our problems with. I am sure when Jesus walked on this earth that He faced times when He needed encouragment.

Mark 1:35 NLT

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.”

If Jesus needed to spend time with His Heavenly Father, then how much more do we need to spend time communicating with our Heavenly Father and reading His Word?

When we place our trust in the Lord, we can lean on the strong arms of our Savior. When we focus on our problems instead of focusing on Jesus, we will feel depressed, and hopeless.

Psalms 121: 1-8 NIV

” I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you-the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more.”

David found comfort in relying on God, and when we allow God to become part of our lives, then He will strengthen our mind, emotions and our will to keep on going !

“When a man has no strength, if he leans on God, he becomes powerful.” D.L. Moody

Thoughts for today – Trusting God is a choice, not a feeling. The Bible tells us often that God loves us and will always keep His promises. Have you learned to trust God with everything in your life?

Thoughts for today – I am realizing that if I choose Joy when I am having challenges in my life, it is so much easier to be patient while I am allowing the Lord to bring me through victoriously. I ask myself often – How faithful am I being in my communication with Jesus?

Thoughts for today – Sometimes when we have reached a place in our lives and we don’t know what to do, it helps to just be still and wait for the Lord to give us instructions.

Thoughts for today – There is nothing that happens to you or to me that is by accident. When you have committed your life to Him, God is directing each step you take.

When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead our hearts, He will guide us into all truth. As we give God access to our hearts, He will be with us on our daily walk. We have a choice to serve God or serve our flesh. Each day we are given a choice to begin the new day!

Thoughts for today – As a believer in Christ, we have access to intimacy with God and the reality of His presence. He desires to have a relationship with us. He wants us to know the reality of His presence!

Monday, October 11, 2021

Thoughts for today – When we realize at the end of the day, there are benefits of seeking God, then we can allow God to teach us. There’s a lot we don’t know and all we need to do is just talk to Him from our hearts. He knows our thoughts anyway , so it’s easier to open the secret places of our hearts and surrender them to Him. It is worth it because you will find peace and joy as you spend time with Him !

Thoughts for today – There are so many reasons to Praise the Lord. God is worthy of our praise – Praise not only draws us closer to God, but through our praise, He is drawn closer to us. Praise deepens our intimacy with God!

Thoughts for today – When we worry, it seems we’re expressing a lack of confidence in God’s willingness and ability to care for us. If we could live our lives confident that God can be trusted, we would stop worrying. We don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow or the next week, but we do know that our Heavenly Father is trustworthy and already has a plan for our lives!

Thoughts for today – It’s interesting to me that one of Jesus’ titles is “Prince of Peace” – He is the one who can give us real peace. As I look at the world today, so many people are searching for peace in different ways, but there is no real peace besides the Prince of Peace. If you are a believer, then by God’s grace you have been given the peace which passes all understanding. It is important for us to remember it’s already ours, we just have to claim it!

Thoughts for today – Our own self-doubt can be one of our biggest enemies when we start to believe the lies that the enemy tells us in our minds. We have to remember that with God’s help, we can change what we want. God is calling us to be strong and courageous in every area of our lives. We can do this with help from our Lord!

Thoughts for today – There is such a need for Light so that as we are going through difficult times, we can see where we are going. This Light comes from Jesus Christ who is the perfecter of our faith. He is our Lighthouse in the storms of life.

Thoughts for today – It is extremely important to never forget that Jesus came to save us from the crushing weight of sin and grief. God is always near when we are hurting and helps us to heal. The mending starts as we turn to Him and ask Him to apply His mercy and grace to our hearts. When we place our pain at the foot of the cross, Jesus will bind up our brokenness!

Monday, October 18, 2021

Thoughts for today – When we step in God’s direction, He never rejects us. He always embraces us when we repent and cry out to Him for cleansing. God invites us to choose Him and allow Him to purify our lives as we devote our hearts to Him.

Thoughts for today – I love this verse because it reminds me of one of many promises that God gives us. There are times when we become weary on our journey , but when we stop to rest, He reminds us that He never leaves us nor forsakes us, He is always providing what we need, and He always restores our strength when it is needed !

Wednesday, October 20, 2021

Thoughts for today – When we fully rely on God to direct our lives and make Him Lord of our plans, He helps us understand and gives us wisdom to know which way to go. It is important to lean on the Lord and not rely on our self-sufficiency. As we pursue His presence, He makes our way plain. We no longer have to worry about our next step because we are moving in His direction. It’s always good to start your day by asking God to direct your steps and for help trusting Him!

Thoughts for today – The most valuable possession is the eternal Word of God. The enemy can’t steal it from our hearts and rob us of the powerful work of God’s Word in us. The seeds of God’s Word will always bear fruit in our lives when we are obedient. Nothing else on your to-do list is more important than reading the Word of God and applying it to your life!

Friday, October 22, 2021

Thoughts for today – God can speak life and peace over any situation. Nothing in your life is beyond His help. Give Him your impossible situation and watch Him show up in unimaginable ways. God created the heavens and the earth with a word, so we do not need to worry about anything. As a child of God who has accepted Him as your Savior, you belong to God, and He will always defend you!

Saturday, October 23, 2021

Thoughts for today – When the enemy is whispering lies to you, it is important to remember you need to escape by shutting down his message and arming yourself with the Truth. Read the Word of God. Pray for God’s help. Speak the name of Jesus and think about Jesus dying on the cross for you. The resurrected Christ lives in you and He will give you the power to say no to any temptations in your life!

Sunday, October 24, 2021

Thoughts for today – God is faithful to keep His promises , so you can trust that He will extend His grace to cover you today. You are safe in God’s care. We can trust that He will protect us!

Monday, October 25, 2021

Thoughts for today – God is always reaching out to us with a heart of compassionate grace. His love is steadfast and unconditional. He is faithful to us even when we fail. It’s never too late to turn around and run back to God. Every morning there is fresh mercy for all of us. God is waiting and ready to embrace you!

.Thoughts for today – We have all experienced fears, anxieties, and troubles in our lives. Often, peace is more readily seen and felt in the midst of trials and troubles. Regardless of what you’re experiencing, know this; God is your peace. Put your faith in Him. God is totally Trustworthy!

Thoughts for today – Forgiveness change us completely. Jesus has shown us grace. Praise God we do not receive what we deserve. When we have repented and turned our lives over to Jesus, we become His child. He reminds us that He went to the cross for our sins and we are forgiven. He paid a high price for us just to show us how much He loves us!

Thursday, October 28, 2021

Thoughts for today – As we allow Jesus to guide us, He teaches us so much about how we should act. He does this in such a gentle way, He never yells at us when we make mistakes, He is humble and gentle toward us. As we spend time with Him, we will learn many of His ways, and then it is easier to give up some of our ways that are negative. Humility means considering others as more important than ourselves. Humility can also mean complete dependence on God!

Friday, October 29. 2021

Thoughts for today – It is true we can’t control the behavior of others, we are responsible for our own behavior and responses, including the extension of forgiveness. God calls us to forgive others as we have been forgiven. When we have resentment toward others, it can have a harmful effect on our body. Negative thoughts and emotions bring about negative reactions within us. God can give us the courage to do the right thing and forgive others. He knows all about that subject!

Thoughts for today – Jesus was in the wilderness and satan tried to tempt Jesus. But Jesus did not give in, in fact it’s interesting the way He fights back. Jesus fought back with the words and power of Scripture. Every time He was tempted, he came back with the truth of Scripture that applied to that situation. Jesus knew Scripture, He believed Scripture, and He used the power of Scripture to fight the battles that came His way. This shows me that using Scripture when we are fighting temptations is the most powerful way to do it!

Thoughts for today – Through Jesus Christ, wee have been restored to God. John 3:16 says ” For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”. Even though we turned our hearts against Him, He never abandoned us. He never stopped loving us. Instead, He put a plan into place that we restore us back to Him. In order to receive this love that will never weaken, fade, or diminish, we simply receive Him into our life as our Savior and Lord by faith. He did all the work to restore us to God. This love is not based on anything we can do. It is based on His unconditional love for us. He will always love us! Be still for a few minutes and savor the love that God has for you!
